Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types String Formatting

how to use .format placeholder

I need to use .format placeholder but the communication is not clear

strings.py
name = "Kingsley"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}"
subject.format("Kingsley")

This challenge is looking for two things:

  • using format on the same line as the assignment to subject
  • use the variable name as the argument to the format method
