I am unsure on how to use the mixin value $make as a class within the mixin, can anyone help please?

syntax in Sass, replacing expression
with some SassScript expression, you can echo out variables in places you normally could not. For instance:
$make: ".red";
#{$make} {
color: red;
}
That should give you a little hint. :)
