I'm not making the smells like bakin website but i'm following along but making my own they gave you folder full of css commands but I don't know how to use it.

If you are Doing a separate project than the one the instructor is doing, all the CSS provided is going to be tailored to the design the instructor is doing. You will need to know enough CSS to create your own stylesheets and/or customize the ones provided in the project download.
