How would you go about creating a Ruby Programme and using Compass to style the pages?

I don't know if this is a really dumb question and I've missed something very obvious, but as both Ruby and Compass Projects are created using a command in the terminal; how would you go about creating a Ruby Project while using Compass for the styling?
