HTML Coding <h1>Smells Like Bakin</h1> error!

I am new to all this and am already not liking how cool Treehouse is supposed to be. I watched this video on adding text via text editor and I keep getting the message "Whoops! Looks like something went wrong. Try again." WTF!!!

Here's what I am entering in the lines as per the explanatory video: <h1>Smells Like Bakin</h1>

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong that keeps rendering that silly dialog box?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Brian,

Sorry, to hear you are having a bit of a challenge with the Smells Like Bakin project? However, did you remember to add your opening <h1> and closing </h1> tags? Give it try, and hang in there!

hey Brian,

It's just as simple as adding the following line of code in the text editor: <h1>Smells Like Bakin</h1> just be careful of the capital letters and space! hope it helps, thanks~

It might need the ' at the end so; Smells Like Bakin'

Steph

@Brian - The Whoops! Looks like something went wrong. Try again. is a 500 error from the Treehouse's webserver.

Here's what I'd suggest:

Try this code: <h1>Smells Like Bakin</h1>

If that doesn't work, there are a couple of things you can try if you are still getting that issue:

  • Try Privacy/Incognito Mode
  • Try a Different Browser
  • Try a Different Computer

Thanks for your help guys! @Brian if none of that works, email us at help@teamtreehouse.com with screenshots of what is going on.

:D
