HTML email dev: background-size, background-position and text-shadow

Do you have any clue whether these have extensive support?

Hi Niccolò Mineo,

They all do. Take a look at the browser support charts:

The background-position property is also supported by all browsers.

Dear Guil, I was specifically referring to the compatibility in desktop and web mail client

I've worked with HTML emails before and just from my experience I would say that for most desktop and web mail clients "background-size, background-position and text-shadow" will not be supported fully. You might get away with it in certain clients such as apple mail but clients like outlook will not be happy with styles. I would suggest getting some kind of email client testing software like litmus. That way you can decide what styles you can get away with in certain clients if you're unsure. I never send out a HTML email without testing first.
