HTML Links Websites: Part 1

Hello Everybody I'm new and have just got started on Treehouse. I have just come across a little problem and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong? I'm on the Links section of the deep dive HTML Wesites Part 1 section and I can't get the first page to link to the second page I've done everything as the video explains but it's not working. I have got my first 2 webpages saved in a folder on the desktop and I'm using notepad. Please could you help. Tweet me here when you post thanks. Mark @markjames2

I got it to work!

When I saved the second page I didn't include the under score. I saved it like this another page.html and should have saved it like this another_page.html

Why do you have to include the underscore?

Basic stuff I know but I'm learning.

Should I use Sublime tex editor or notepad? sublime looks so much better!

Any editor but notepad, notepad++ is a good choice it has most of the same features as sublime text however it doesn't look as pretty by default but it can be themed.

Thanks James

Web urls can not include special characters such as a space, always use a dash or an underscore. As far as a text editor I'd suggest you used Sublime test instead of notepad. Sublime is made for more of a coding setup, where notepad is made more for just plain text. Sublime will change the text colors to better label the items, and auto-complete some end tags. Hope this helps!

This is what gets displayed when I click on the link

This page can't be displayed

•Make sure the web address is correct. •Look for the page with your search engine. •Refresh the page in a few minutes.

Fix connection problems
