HTML not looking right in preview

Just starting out...and already having trouble. Am I missing something?

What I'm writing doesn't match the preview, and I don't know why.

I can't see your workspaces :)

A screenshot is a better idea maybe.

I'm unsure how to add a screenshot to my comment...saved it as both a JPEG or PNG but it won't let me paste the file into my comment

This has to be in the head section

          <link rel="stylesheet" src="path/to/file.css">
          ```
below the answer box the is a Markdown Cheatsheet where you can see how it works with the image or the code.
That doesn't help me. I don't know how to add a screenshot. I can't drag and drop, and apparently the links don't work either.
Can you explain what you are missing? Is it color or text?
