19,087 PointsHTML5 Canvas & Course Suggestions
I would love to see Treehouse offer courses on HTML5 canvas. I've picked up a couple of books and read through some online tutorials, but I'm still struggling to really figure out how to implement canvas in my projects.
Past the basic setup and drawing functionality, I would love to learn more about animation and image manipulation. I've see some amazing particle physics systems designed in canvas, and would love to learn more about how these types of systems are designed.
Another thing I'd really love to see is a type of quick tip video series on implementing specific functionality across multiple languages.
Similar to the Workshops already offered, if there where quick, one or two part videos that covered emerging trends in web development Treehouse could become, in a way, the new Stack Overflow for their students.
Topics I'd love to see covered include HTML5 video, parallax scrolling, HTML5 SVG integration (drawing in browser), canvas, animations based on user interaction (i.e. the Square Space home page background image wabble on mouse position), and so on.
Just a few thoughts - figured I'd post and see what you guys think.
Thanks!
