you have an unnecessary p tag and an html tag at the end of your code. and the h1 and h2 tags need closing. try this:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>

</head>
<body>

<h1>heading here </h1>

<h2>smaller heading here</h2>

<p>paragraph here</p>

</body>
</html>

keep going. you'll get the hang of it.
