In the video https://teamtreehouse.com/library/responsive-images/image-delivery-with-srcset-and-sizes/image-formats It mentioned about 2x compression in jpeg, I am confused what is that. can you provide the complete technical details what it means to have 2x compression in jpeg?

Hi, weinian, I believe this article here https://hatchedlondon.com/image-formats-compression-explained/ might help understand what compression means in terms of images on the web, basically, when you turn from one format to another(jpeg to png for example) you may lose the quality of the image, and Nick states that there is a way to get better compression( less file size) with optimal image quality.
