And just for a note with a little kick for you, check https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/. That might start considering OSX :). Affinity Designer is great program for only a fraction of the Illustrator price.

I honestly think that Treehouse should teach Affinity Designer not Sketch. AD is more capable and more pro.
