I am building a small program to calculate my bills using buttons. How can I simplify this code?

A few ideas:

  • assign "value" attributes to each button
  • set the value of each button to the bill cost in the HTML
  • remove cost variables from JS code
  • use a single delegated handler for all the buttons
  • remove individual button variables from JS code
  • use the event target to change color and get the associated value
