15,661 PointsHonestly if your concern is doing regular web development with it, any MacBook will be should be good enough. You rarely if ever come across anything that is particularly demanding on your hardware in web development.
If you're doing web design, the retina screens are a very nice touch, but I wouldn't say they are a necessity.
