I am having a problem with the ruby operators and control structures challenge task 1 of 1.

def check_speed(car_speed) if (car_speed >= 40) && (car_speed <= 50) puts "safe" else puts "unsafe" end end

this code works fine in workspace. Is this a bug on the site??

Hi! You're close. The challenge wants you to check if the car speed is less then or equal to 50 as well.

def check_speed(car_speed)
  if(car_speed >= 40) && (car_speed <= 50)
    return "safe"
  else
    return "unsafe"
  end
end

Thank you for your reply, and sorry for the formatting of my post! I did discover the cause was a matter of not following directions. I needed to use the return (method?) instead of puts. Thanks for your reply!
