Close Falah. Couple of things. self.laps = 0 should be inside your init. You have a random for at the bottom that needs deleted. You also need to increment laps (laps+=1) each time the run_lap method is called. Hope this helps

class RaceCar:
    def __init__(self, color, fuel_remaining, **kwargs):
        self.color = color
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining
        self.laps = 0
        def run_lap(length):
            return fuel_remaining - length * 0.25
        for length in run_lap:
            laps += 1
        for key, value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self, key, value)

why is this not running

Couple of issues. You had the run_laps method indented inside the init. You also were getting the kwargs in run_lap instead of init. And you were missing self in run_lap

class RaceCar:
    def __init__(self, color, fuel_remaining, **kwargs):
        self.color = color
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining
        for key, value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self, key, value)
        self.laps = 0
    def run_lap(self, length):
            self.laps += 1
            self.fuel_remaining = self.fuel_remaining - length * 0.125
