Sometimes the answer may be hiding in some of your other styling. Do you have any CSS applied for your footer element?

I found the error and it wasn't my code! there was an issue with the software i am using. I had to re-link the css file. So weird that all the other css was still working. Thank you for all the help!

This would float the entire div. Try something like:

#social-media-buttons a {float: right;}```

thank you for the suggestion! i tried it and it did not move. i am so stumped.

Sorry, my suggestion should have read: #social-media-buttons img {float: right;}

thank you Ben! I tried that too but it ended up being an issue with my css file. i really appreciate all the help.
