What is the purpose of
function print(message) { document.write(message); }
if anyone can clarify that would be great

18,814 PointsIn this case, I think it just looks nicer. Or he may be planning on adding additional code to the print function later. You are correct that you could use document.write(listHTML) on it's own to achieve the same result.
