I am trying to add css but it seems not to work!! everything I add to the css doesn't show on the webpage? HELP

I am following all the steps and when I started adding CSS it seems that nothing is being applied to the webpage. I have added the <link rel= "stylesheet" href=" resume.css"> and it is still not showing. plz help me! there must be something missing but I don't know what it is!

Hello,

You have a space between the " symbol and resume.css.

I found what was wrong. thanks anyways but now I think when I made a new file for the resume the old workspace is gone or deleted and I can't get it back!!!
