I am very lost on this - watched the descendant selector and read through the link provided - looked at stack overflow - do not understand the solution

A descendant selector is simply a combination of two selectors separated by a space. The first (left) one selects a containing element (not necessarily the direct parent), and the last (right) one selects the actual target(s).
