Design Illustrator Foundations How to Draw in Illustrator Transparency and Blending Modes

I believe I've done everything that Mat has asked, but the white overlay does not show up on my overlay layer -

Hey everyone,

So like the title says - I feel as though I have followed all of Matt's instructions, but my white overlay is simply not showing up when I use my white brush.

Any theories on what the problem might be?

Thanks -

Never mind - I actually figured it out -

I had the "color" layer ranked ahead of the "overlay" layer on the layers panel - causing the color on the layers panel not to show up, or be buried behind the colors on the colors panel.

Thanks though -
