Android Build a Simple Android App (retired 2014) Pretty Little Things Customizing Buttons and Labels

I cannot customize the button "enlighten me!"

Ben has the ability to go in and bold text, italicize text and basically give it pizazz. When I try to do the same the cells are locked and I cant make any changes or write in them.

This happened to me before, it turned out that I didn't have updated ADT: Android Development Tool plugin. Apparently there was a period Android team(or whatever) locked the property windows right-down of the eclipse and then they unlocked it. So I think you want to update ADT somehow, I think it's Help>Check for Updates

Thanks for trying to help me but your solution is extremely confusing for me. It was basically saying to update my emulator and it should work. I tried doing it but it didnt help. There was a lot of other information that looked like code but I didnt understand how to use it. sorry...thanks for trying
