I cannot get String hastag to print out. Because String hastag is declared but not defined how does it print out?

I cannot get String hastag to print out. Because String hastag is declared but not defined why does it print out in the video? My understanding is there should be nothing to print out.

In the video hashtag is declared as the loop variable of a for-each loop. This means the string hashtag will be given the value of each string in the list of hashtags in turn.
