I can't get the borders to show or the copyright to align on my basic website

The cpyright logo is off to the far right and I can't get the borders to show around the "new cupcakes"

Here is my html:

hey Rachel Weaver , in your css you selected "new-cupcakes" but in your html it's "new cupcakes", without the "-", try adding it in and see if the styling applies then ;)

also, I'm not sure if that's your original syntax or if it's just stripped out here, make sure that you select the class and id's in the css correctly. for example your last div in the html has an id=copyright, if you want to select this in your css this needs to be selected as #copyright - when you use a class in html then use a "." instead of a "#" to select it - hope that helps ;)

Yep, you are using a regular selector but there are no elements with the name copyright. You have an id="copyright" which is #copyright. Also, you didn't use a hyphen on the new cupcakes id and remember that for that id you will also need to use "#" so it will be #new cupcakes. You use a "." to select a class and a "#" to select an id.
