I can't understand what the syntax errors are especially when I am trying to initiate by findViewbyID for the button

Button showFactButton=(Button) findViewbyId(R.id. Button);

FunFactsActivity.java 
import android.app.Activity;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.view.View;
import android.widget.Button;
import android.widget.TextView;

public class FunFactsActivity extends Activity {

    @Override
    public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {

Your line is almost correct. The task says that the button's ID is "howFactButton". Therefore the code for that is:

Button showFactButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.showFactButton);

Also you had a space :

Button showFactButton=(Button) findViewbyId(R.id.(HERE)Button); //your code
