I couldnt understand 1 thing. why we need <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0"> ???

I couldnt understand 1 thing. why we need <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0"> ??? wont it work without it?

Mobile devices tends to zoom-in content by default. To make sure your page looks exactly as you want on a mobile device you need to add this line.

On the other hand if you'd like your site zoomed in by default on a mobile device you can change scale there. But I think that's rarely the case.
