Python Functions, Packing, and Unpacking Getting Info In and Out of Functions All About Returns

I created the same code in my workspace but recieve a different response

I created the same code in my workspace, however when ran in the repl, I received this response <function two_plus_two at 0x7f2cb3c78e18>

Hi. I think you may have forgotten to add parenthesis when calling the function

def two_plus_two(): val = 2 + 2

This gives <function two_plus_two at 0x7f2cb3c78e18>

two_plus_two

adding parenthesis should give the result expected

two_plus_two()

Your code has to look like that

def two_plus_two():
    val = 2 + 2
    return val

sum = two_plus_two() * 2
print(sum)
