I do not understand what I'm doing wrong

this is my code, it should create a new line but it doesn't

$firstName = "Rasmus"; $lastName = "Lerdorf"; $fullName = "$firstName" . " " . "$lastName" . " " . "was the original creator of PHP \n";

echo $fullName;

index.php
<?php

//Place your code below this comment
$firstName = "Rasmus";
$lastName = "Lerdorf";
$fullName = "$firstName" . " " . "$lastName" . " " . "was the original creator of PHP \n";

echo $fullName;
?>

I think you have maybe misunderstood the last question a little bit. Its not asking for $fullName to be changed but for you to echo it and concatenate it with the rest of the string.

<?php

$firstName = "Rasmus";
$lastName = "Lerdorf";
$fullName = $firstName . " " . $lastName;

echo $fullName . " was the original creator of PHP." . "\n";
?>
