I'm not sure what your challenge asked you to do. If you could add that to your question, and any error that you're getting that would help us to help you.

I wonder if contains?() needs to be completed? Looks like you should add some code there to check if the name that you pass it is in the @todo_items array.

Hey. You need to go over each list Item and check, wether you have an item which equals your name parameter. Here's the code:

class TodoList
  attr_reader :name, :todo_items

  def initialize(name)
    @name = name
    @todo_items = []
  end

  def add_item(name)
    todo_items.push(TodoItem.new(name))
  end

  def contains?(name)
    contains = false
     todo_items.each do |item|
      contains = true if item.name == name
      break if contains
      end
    return contains
  end

  def find_index(name)
    index = 0
    found = false
        todo_items.each do |item|
      found = true if item.name == name
      break if found
      index += 1
    end
    if found
      return index
    else
      return nil
    end
  end
end
