i don't know how to do this?

how do print only continents that start with letter "a"?

continents.py 
continents = [
    'Asia',
    'South America',
    'North America',
    'Africa',
    'Europe',
    'Antarctica',
    'Australia',
]

for continent in continents :
    print("* {} ".format() + continent)

You're close, but you wouldn't use string formatting and concatenation at the same time. Plus when using "format", the value to be substituted for the placeholder needs to be passed as a function argument:

    print("* {}".format(continent))
