C# ASP.NET MVC Basics Controllers Using Action Result Types

I don't know why the return clause is not being recognized..

The message tells me as if there is no returning a ContentResult value...don't know why..

        {
            return new ContentResult()
            {
                Content="Welcome to the Video Game Detail page!"

The instructions say to pass "the string literal "Welcome to the Video Game Detail page!" to the Content method."

But you have a few issues:

  • using "new" when not instantiating an object
  • calling "ContentResult" instead of "Content"
  • not passing the string as an argument (inside the parentheses)
  • creating an object literal following what should be an ordinary method call
