I don't see a portfolio option in my dashboard.

I don't see a portfolio option in my dashboard and I also don't see a portfolio option in the custom fields rules. What did I miss?

Same here, can anyone help or did you find an answer? Thanks

I couldn't see mine because 'Portfolio' is already a page that we created in this lesson, and I can't create a Custom Post Type with the same name. It's interesting that this wasn't covered in the video. Maybe we deleted it in the video previously? I don't think we did, but I could've missed it.

I had the same issue. While I'm not sure exactly how it works, I scrolled down to the bottom and in the very last box titled Built-in Taxonomies and checked the box "Categories (WP Core)" and then added the post type. This got it to show up for me.

What I referenced

The same thing happened to me. When creating the post type slug/name in CPT UI, for some reason 'portfolio' won't work, so you have to use some variation of it, e.g., 'myportfolio'. Once you do this additional tabs show up in the CPT UI interface such as View Post Types and Import/Export Post Types and the slug/name you created 'myportfolio' is selected in the option for Show this field group if/Post Type/is equal to/myportfolio.

Bit of a reverse engineering random work around: Delete the Portfolio page before following the video instructions. After completing the instructions, go back and add the Portfolio page & re-add your (deleted) Portfolio page to the Menu.
