I don't understand the whole thing of this video. How do I make another file if I use Atom?

I really don't see how to add a file in Atom. I have files saved on desktop using Atom app. I just need help step by step with Mac user.

File, open, and locate your downloads folder and the files that you've downloaded should be in there. I just switched from Atom to Sublime.

Hi endimiclife, Thank you for your help! So I got it right but later with my_directory folder, I started to have problems get it right. I created a folder called HTML link and in the folder I have index.html and anotherpage.html in my_directory folder inside the HTML link folder..... Is this right?
