I don't understand what each of the parameters in the completion handler mean

In our download task, we have a completion handler.

let downloadTask: NSURLSessionDownloadTask = sharedSession.downloadTaskWithUrl(forecastURL!, completionHandler: {(location, response, error) -> Void in println(response) })

what do location, response, and error even mean? Pasan said that the location is where the response is temporarily stored on disk? I'm so confused as to what these mean and to be honest what a downloadTask and sharedSession is at all. Any help clarifying this video would be super helpful and I would greatly appreciate it.
