Though they probably expected you to use the full name "background-color", the shorthand "background" still does the job. The challenge issue is actually with the text color here.

The property that controls text color is simply named "color".

this is the answer I get after changing text to color. Bummer: Did you specify the correct background color? this is the error it has been giving me.

I tried pasting your code directly into the challenge, and when I changed "text" to "color" I got "Well Done! You're doing great!".

Try restarting your browser and see if that helps. And it wouldn't hurt to use the full property name "background-color".

thank you after restarting my bowser I quit getting the error sign
