I don't understand what i need to do here. shouldn't it read function, then var, then if statement?

Is this asking me to rearrange the code or add something to it? thanks!!

You need to declare the variable 1st under the function, then set it under the if statement.

Check out the video at approximately the 4:20 point when he gives the number example.
