I don't understand what I'm doing wrong

let role = 'developer';
let message = firstName + ' Aliyah ' + lastname + ' Flowers ' + ' : ' + role + ' developer ' + ' . ';

Hi Aliyah, I see you have too much information in "let message" as in firstName has already been defined but you define it again, you did that with each Variable. Also keep an eye on those spaces around " : and . " If the code had printed out it hacve said the following: Aliyah Aliyah Flowers Flowers : developer developer . The last line of code should look more like:

let message = firstName lastName + ': ' + role + '.';
