I find these very confusing to do on my own

Programming is a complicated skill, but it gets easier with practice! If some concepts aren't quite making sense, you can always re-watch some videos. If that doesn't help, I always find that google is my best friend. You can search for some written documentation, or there's usually helpful people on YouTube to break things down further for you.
