i get by : findViewById(R.id.RelativeLayout) , the error :cannot resolve symbol relativeLayout

I noticed at in component tree that the word RelativeLayout is spelled with a higher case R instead of lower case could that be the problem ?

Hello,

You should go to your XML file, or your design view, select your relative layoit, and check the id. Or set it yourself. And I think it's better to avoid capitals with id's.
