I get "Make sure you include an image tag that shows numbers-01.jpg"

I have included a img tag with numbers-01.jpg but I get always this error. I can see the image in the preview.

<!DOCTYPE html>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
            <a href="index.html">
             <img src="numbers-01.jpg" alt="">
            <a href="about.html">
             <img src="numbers-02.jpg" alt="">
            <a href="contact.html">
              <img src="numbers-06.jpg" alt="">
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>

I think it is because you have anchor tags to contact, etc in your code and it's not asking for that.

more specifically you have the links to the images embedded inside your <a> tags
