CSS Sass Basics (retired) Advanced Sass Concepts Interpolating and if/else

I guess I'm misunderstanding this question..?

@mixin cars ($make,$color) {
   .#{$make} {
      border:1px solid black;
      background: url("$color.png");
  }
}

if $color was red, wouldn't this url("$color.png") reference the input from cars($make,$color) making the url become url("red.png")?

You are understanding correctly, but you are forgetting to tell SASS that you are going to be using a variable in your url("...")

Look at how you used the parameter "$make" for the class. :D
