if $color was red, wouldn't this url("$color.png") reference the input from cars($make,$color) making the url become url("red.png")?

13,798 PointsYou are understanding correctly, but you are forgetting to tell SASS that you are going to be using a variable in your url("...")
Look at how you used the parameter "$make" for the class. :D
