16,204 PointsPatents are very tricky cost money And can take a very long time to get one. I have read into this and for apps seeing how things come and go quickly in some cases you don't need to waist your time and money getting one. But it's different for everyone to get you started take a look at the site below it goes over what you need to do to get you started. Good luck with your app. When it's out post a link to it on treehouse would love to use it.
