If you are wanting to program Android then yes you will need to get a windows laptop or desktop, a macbook or imac, or a computer that can run linux. Windows will be your cheaper option than an Apple computer. But you can't program on IOS with windows so if you are wanting to do both then an Apple computer would be your best bet. There's pros and cons to both though, and I would recommend you do some research and find what best fits your needs and desires.

Thanks Mitchell
