I have another wordpress account that is linked to the web host I'm using..

I have another wordpress account that is linked to the web host I'm using.. now I have this separate, local account saved to my "sites".. should I have these accounts linked or the one site project I'm working on? or should I keep two?

When you say "account," are you talking about your username and password when you visit the site's /wp-login.php page? If so, they should maybe be the same if the 2 sites are the same, and you intend to work on the site locally, then deploy it (copy it) to your account on that web host. But it sounds like this local WordPress site is a totally separate project. If that's the case, there's no reason to make the accounts the same.
