I see a closing header in your html but no opening header. Try adding that to your website. Something like this

 <header>
    <nav>
      <ul>
        <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
        <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
        <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
        </ul>
     </nav>
</header>

you don't have a closing greater than sign to close the meta tag in your head.

Thanks guys!!!! Man I have been stuck trying to correct my own errors.

You're welcome. We are here to help each other out:D

No closing body tag also. " </body>"
