And electricity is a form of energy which occurs in nature, so it was not “invented.” As to who discovered it, some give credit to Benjamin Franklin; but 150 years earlier English scientists William Gilbert and Thomas Browne wrote about electrical energy. But knowledge of static electricity existed in Greece and Persia from as far back as 600 BC.
