The constructor of the Spaceship class should be by itself.

first part: 

 public class Spaceship {
public String mType;
 public Spaceship(){
   mType = "SHUTTLE";
 }
public String getType() {
  return mType;
}

public void setType(String type) {
  mType = type;
}
 }

next we add another constructor that sets the mType to our type

 public class Spaceship {
 public String mType;
  public Spaceship(String type){
 mType = type;
} 
 public Spaceship(){
   mType = "SHUTTLE";
 }

public String getType() {
  return mType;
}

public void setType(String type) {
  mType = type;
}
 }
