i have provided connection.url property with correct value but this is throwing an error

the error says connection.url is missing or with incorrect value

hibernate.cfg.xml 
<hibernate-configuration>
  <session-factory>

    <property name="connection.driver_class">org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver<\property>
          <property name="connection.url">jdbc:hsqldb::file:./data/treehouse<\property>

    <property name="dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.HSQLDialect<\property>

  <\hibernate-configuration>

You have two issues

1) Your closing tags should use a forward slash. Ex: </property> instead of <\property>

2) Your connection.url has an extra colon before the word file. It should be:

jdbc:hsqldb:file:./data/treehouse

instead of

jdbc:hsqldb::file:./data/treehouse
