<script src="script.js"></script>

So here you have said :

var fristName = firstName "Eric";

The variable firstName in the 1st instance is misspelled (swap r & i ).

secondly you do not need to write the variable again before the name "Eric". You simple create the variable then set the name. what you should do is this:

var firstName = "Eric";

I dint get your question well.The code however has an error.On script.js this is how you declare a variable:-

var fristName = "Eric";

Hope this helps
