General Discussion

I know I should be complementing my course with some text (HTML/CSS). Any suggestions?

Javascript\Jqueary go hand-in-hand with basic websites.

i know, but do you have a really good book in particular?

You're on treehouse, there are many courses here for a variety of different aspects. Not to discourage books, they can be wonderful tools. But the best way to learn these things are to do them, this is why treehouse works so well. Look at the tracks for other courses here. https://teamtreehouse.com/tracks/front-end-web-development this track will let you dive into using JS and using it well with HTML\CSS.
